Menlo Park

 

Menlo Park, California is an affluent, scholarly community located in San Mateo County. It’s nestled in between Palo Alto, Atherton, North Fair Oaks, and Redwood City and the world renowned Stanford University. According to the Huffington Post, Menlo Park is one of the most educated cities in California, where almost 70% of the residents over the age of 25 have earned a bachelor's degree or higher. On the west side of Menlo Park is Sand Hill Road which is well known for being the home of many of Silicon Valley's distinguished venture capitalists firms, while the east side of Menlo Park is the home to Facebook HQ.

 

Like its neighboring communities, Menlo Park, contains a mixture of single level ranch homes and modern architectural marvels. Downtown Menlo Park, is made up of local hip coffee shops and high end restaurants. During the summer Fremont Park is the place to be for the Summer Concert Series, a weekly music event which takes place each Wednesday evening. Menlo Park has their own “Menlo Summer Fest,” which is an event that features stunning art installations, local food and drink vendors, and of course a fun zone for the kids.

 

Menlo Park belongs to the Sequoia Union High School District where public schools include Oak Knoll Elementary School, and Hillview and La Entrada Middle Schools. All of the local schools feed to the prestigious Menlo Atherton High School.
